News For Teachers

Tickets for the 12 PM show on March 15 are still available. Order now and receive 1 free adult for every 20 students. The show is 60 minutes long and recommended for grades 1-5. Call to make reservations.

Hold onto your hats as you follow the latest breathless adventure of the world's most animated elementary school student. Ramona, the exasperating but lovable third-grader, has delighted young readers for the last 40 years through the books of Newbery Award-winning writer Beverly Cleary. Now, she comes to life on the stage in Ramona Quimby.

Creative Writing Workshop Offered

The AEC is offering a professional development workshop in creative writing for 5-12th grade teachers. Working with award winning Southern writers who participate in the Conference on Southern Literature, you will explore the generation, focusing & organizing of ideas; finding tone/voice; refining word choice; discuss the importance of timed writings; participate in writing exercises and more! AND . . . we invite you to be our guest at the three-day Conference on Southern Literature!
The workshop will meet at the Staff Development Center, 1161 W 40th Street. Class size is limited to 25 teachers.

Hamilton County Teachers: The AEC will cover the cost of your substitute for you to participate in the Wednesday workshop and attend the Conference on Thursday and Friday. Visit our website for more information or call .
