United States Flag Retirement
Do you own an old, torn, or battered flag? If you do, it needs to be retired. American flats should not be thrown away; they should be retired in an honorable ceremony with all the dignity and respect befitting our nation’s flag. I am organizing an Eagle Scout project to collect flags and retire them in a ceremony near the Signal Crest United Methodist Church in mid-February. DROP-OFF BOEXES FOR FLAGS ARE LOCATED AT PRUETTS, SIGNAL MTN TOWN HALL, SIGNAL MTN RECLYCLING CENTER, AND NOLAN ELEMENTARY. I would appreciate your flag donations.
