District Midterm Report

Dr. Jim Scales, Superintendent of Hamilton County Schools, will present his goals and objectives for the District at a Midterm Report on Tuesday, January 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

The community at large is invited to attend.

At the Midterm Report, Dr. Scales will review Hamilton County Schools’ Strategic Plan 2011, which the Board of Education adopted at is January 18 meeting. The presentation will discuss where the District is, where it needs to be in five years and his plans for moving Hamilton County Schools toward excellence.

Members of the Chattanooga School for Arts and Sciences Symphonic Band will entertain those in attendance. Select members of the Central High School Ensemble will sing the National Anthem while the JROTC units from Howard School for Academics and Technology and Brainerd High School will present the colors. Student exhibits from Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts and Normal Park Museum Magnet School will also be on display. Student ambassadors from schools in each district in the county will be on hand to pass out copies of the Strategic Plan.
