The Mountain Education Foundation (MEF) would like to salute Nanci Crewe for creating excellence in the Signal Mountain Public Schools. Nanci recently donated a new Yamaha piano to the Signal Mountain Middle/High School (SMMHS) Music Department through MEF. “Stan and I have always had a passion for music. When we heard the new school was going to be built, our first reaction was to donate a piano for the students,” said Nanci Crewe.
The piano is used regularly by music classes and students at SMMHS and provides a wonderful hands-on opportunity for students to learn more about music. “We are fortunate to have patrons like Nanci who have so generously supported the Music Department”, said Robert Cirlot, Middle School Band Director. “All three of the music teachers use the piano with their classes.” MEF would also like to thank Michael Huseman of Crutcher Pianos for his assistance with making this gift possible.
Students on Signal Mountain have an amazing opportunity to experience the arts, music, technology and culture in the classroom. MEF is able to meet the needs of our students thanks to the support of generous donors like Nanci Crewe. Thank you Nanci for making the music program at SMMHS one of the best in our area!
