S.M. Robertson Police & Fire Christmas Fund

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner! As we’ve written before, Christmas is a time to rejoice with our loved ones and friends, and a time to pause and thank God for our many blessings.
Over 25 years ago, my grandfather, Silas M. Robertson, Jr., started the Signal Mountain Police & Fire Christmas Fund as a way to give back to our public safety officers. After his passing last year, in light of my grandfather’s spirit of giving, we named the fund the S.M. Robertson Police & Fire Christmas Fund.
For our newcomers to the mountain, and to again remind our long-time friends, this has traditionally been a time for the citizens of Signal Mountain to express our thanks to the police and fire men and women for their help in making our town safe. This is the time when we contribute to a Christmas Fund, which is divided among these men and women on Christmas Eve.
With the recent tragedies our country has faced, we have all become intensely aware of the significant role our police and fire men and women play in our lives.
We realize we have all been asked to give to disaster relief funds in the previous months, and while we’re not asking you to take away from other giving commitments, we are asking you to give, even if it’s a small amount, back to our community. Please join me in showing our overwhelming support for these men and women who work tirelessly every day of the year to see that our community has a safe and secure environment in which to live and raise our families.
There is a box at the Police Station for your convenience. Should you desire to mail your contribution, please make your checks payable to the S.M. Robertson Police & Fire Christmas Fund, and mail to the Town Hall, Signal Mountain, TN 37377.
As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, your police and fire men and women join me in wishing you and yours a safe and happy Christmas season!
