RICHARD CASAVANT – CANDIDATE FOR RE-ELECTION

By Contributed Article

Hamilton County is my home. I grew up here and understand why others come here to live. It is a place of natural beauty with friendly, industrious people.

The Hamilton County Commission makes decisions that affect our everyday life – home, school, work, and environment. My observation in working with students, interacting with other parents, and participating as an elected official in my county’s government is that citizens want the best from their local government.

It is time to increase the momentum toward providing more effective education, a more positive and active business environment, and more employment opportunities. Our local economy can provide a dynamic business climate that creates new and growing businesses, which offer more jobs and higher incomes.

Our new industrial park, Enterprise South, and the building of two new county high schools are positive additions for Hamilton County. The forthcoming availability of K-12 public education on the mountaintop is a real plus for our community and county.

We want our schools to be founded with high expectations and standards. Children need an education that contributes to their future success in a competitive world.

I have the ability, background, and experience to continue to play an influential role in guiding the county toward economic growth and an improved quality of life. As an elected official, I’ve shown the toughness to make the hard votes, tempered by the knowledge that on each issue the real impact comes with the patience and perseverance it takes to persuade others to vote along with me. With my commitment and sense of direction, you can place your trust and confidence in me to keep us on the right path.

Early voting begins July 14th. I appreciate your vote on August 3rd in the county general election.
