NEWCOMERS AUCTION RAISES RECORD AMOUNT

At their recent silent auction, the Signal Mountain Newcomers raised a record $3552.00 for the Music Department of the Signal Mountain High School. Bidders spent $1752.00 on auction items and an anonymous donor contributed $1800.00. The amount is the highest ever raised by the Annual Newcomers Silent Auction.

Fifty-two items valued at over $2600.00 were donated by the following individuals and businesses: Accents, Alicyn’s Accents, Mary Katharine Austin, Beth Baker, Anne Bordash Design, Arbonne, Bella Vita Day Spa, Toni Bobyarchick, Bordash Family Eye Center, Comb Goddess, Cookie Lady, Creative Memories, Epiphany Day Salon, Esquire Cleaners, the GRAPEViNE, Steve Hankins Photography, Jenny Hudson, J&S Shoes, Jester Designs, Kids’ Day Out, Sherry Lawrence, Loop de Lou, Bill Lusk, Mary Kay, Nancy McCaffrey’s Adopt-An-Elf,
Michael Murphy of Lulu’s Salon, Sharon Dunn of Musikgarten, Naked Cakes, Playful Palate, Lizetta Paturalski, Premier Jewelry, Pure Romance, Riverbend Festival, Romeo’s Jeans & Tees, Shaklee, Signal Mountain Athletic Club, Signal Mountain Chiropractic Clinic, Signal Mountain Golf and Country Club, Signal Mountain Playhouse, Stampin’ Up, Lynn Talbott, Video Park, and Aimee Zukowski.

The Signal Mountain Newcomers is an active social and service organization, creating opportunities for members to meet new friends and neighbors and become involved in the community. Newcomers invite all residents, new and established, to join them. There are many Newcomers activities including couples', ladies', and guys' night out groups, children's playgroup, bunco, scrap booking, and several service opportunities including the Annual Tree Lighting Festival at MACC and the Annual Silent Benefit Auction. The Newcomers meet monthly on the 3rd Tuesday of each month beginning in September at the Walden Town Hall at 10:00 AM.
