Late Night Series at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre
By Contributed Article
Local Celtic band favorites Olta and the Molly Maguires will present late-night musical tales and tunes on the night after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 24, at 11 p.m. in the latest installment of the popular new performance series, Late Bloomers, at the Chattanooga Theatre Centre.
Sure to draw Druids and other alt-Celts out of the woods and woodwork, it's also a perfect evening for starting the holidays off on the right (or left) alternative foot.
"I'm really encouraging the bands to do tunes beyond their usual play list," says Late Bloomers producer Janis Hashe. "Celtic music ranges from rollicking to haunting and everything in between."
The eight-week series previously featured a Grand Guignol night with improvisation favorites Runs With Scissors (October 27), the legendary Shaking Ray Levis (November 3), the first of two 5-minute play nights, and Hyperlinks with Runs With Scissors.
The remaining Late Bloomers line-up of shows includes:
Nov. 24: Alternative Celtic Music with Olta and the Molly Maguires
Dec. 1: 5-Minute Play Night with the Theme: "No Presence For You, Kid"
Dec. 8: Runs With Scissors Comedy Night
Dec. 15: Late Bloomers Holiday Spectacular
Admission is $5. For more information, call Janis Hashe at , or e-mail
