PLAYHOUSE ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR “THE ODD COUPLE”

By
Signal Mountain Playhouse

A favorite Neil Simon comedy, “The Odd Couple,” has been chosen for the Signal Mountain Playhouse’s winter show with auditions coming soon. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, December 20 at 8:15 p.m.; and callbacks (if needed) will be Thursday, December 21 at 7:30 p.m. All will be held at the Mountain Arts Community Center.

David Wood will be directing the show, which has parts for six men and two women. The plot revolves around the lives of two roommates, Feliz, a very neat person, and Oscar, a lovable slob. Given the guys’ differing personalities, the situation is an arrangement definitely not made in heaven. Felix and Oscar have four card playing buddies as well as two cute gals, sisters who live upstairs, to add to the fun. The show has been produced hundreds of times nationally, and once here by the Playhouse, many years ago. It was the first winter show by the local thespians.

Production dates for the show will be February 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, and 24.
