Creative Discovery Museum Summer Camps

4&5 year olds (by May 1):
Cost is $60 for members and $75 for nonmembers. No before or after care is available for 4 & 5 year olds.

Camping with Clifford, June 9-13
Clifford has arrived at the Creative Discovery Museum and will be the center of this biiiiiig camp! We will celebrate red day, work together to maneuver through an obstacle course, and spend lots of time in the Clifford exhibit.

Silly Stories with Seuss, June 16-20
Campers will dive into different Dr. Seuss books every day as they cook up a batch of green eggs and ham, design their own Cat in the Hat hats, make oobleck with Bartholomew, and many more crazy Dr. Seuss-inspired activities.

Rising K-2nd Grades:
Cost is $135 for members and $160 for nonmembers. Before and after care is available from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Wheels, Wings, and Whistles, June 23-27
Planes, Trains, and Automobiles! Campers will design their own method of transportation, visit the Chattanooga Choo Choo, and learn all about paper airplanes. If you love to be on the go, this camp is for you!

Magic Tree House Adventures, July 7-11
Step into a world of adventure in this magical camp. Campers will go back in time or travel to distant lands as they learn about dinosaurs, knights, the moon, and much more.

Keep It Green, July 28-Aug. 1
Turn our trash into your treasure! Come join the fun as we learn exciting ways to recycle and help the environment. Get dirty with the compost worms, make cool crafts and folk art, and buzz about with our bees during this “green” camp.

Rising 3rd-5th Grades:
Cost is $135 for members and $160 for nonmembers. Before and after care is available from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

How It Works, June 23-27
How does a toaster work? Who invented the super soaker water gun? What’s that funny looking gadget in the kitchen? Create your own wacky invention! Take things apart and put them together again in this crazy, creative camp!

Picture This, July 7-11
Ever wanted to make your own camera? Take photographs around Chattanooga? Express yourself in pictures? Then this camp is for you! Learn some trix for perfect pix as you see life through the eye of a camera!

Keep It Green, July 28- Aug. 1
Turn our trash into your treasure! Come join the fun as we learn exciting ways to recycle and help the environment. Get dirty with the compost worms, make cool crafts and folk art, and buzz about with the CDM bees during this “green” camp.
Friends Discovery Camp

Friends’ Discovery Camp, July 14-18 and July 21-25
Cost is $65. Before and after care is not available and campers must be picked up at noon each day of camp. The camp schedule will include a snack time but parents will need to provide all snacks and drinks for their campers.

An exciting week of friendship, fun, and fantastic activities for children with and without autism. It gives all kids a chance to learn about diversity and acceptance while making new friends. Kids will get to explore all areas of the museum and take a field trip. Parents and friends are invited to a closing program and reception on Friday of each of the camp weeks. Enrollment includes a one-year membership to the Museum. (Valid 7/1/08 to 6/30/09). Space is very limited in this camp, so call or to register. Friends Discovery Camp is a partnership between Creative Discovery Museum, Siskin Children’s Institute, the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, and T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital.
