Every Fourth Friday, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m., Creative Discovery Museum Science Theatre invites children and families to come have fun with science. Activity stations will be set up throughout the Science Theatre so that children can work through the areas at their own speed. Each station is staffed to provide directions needed to complete the activity and a science tidbit about the activity. Cost is $9 per child ages 4 and up. Creative Discovery Museum member cost is $8 per child. Younger children are welcome. We will have different age appropriate activities for younger scientists. parents are free. Call to pre-register. Creative Discovery Museum Science Theatre is located inside Northgate Mall. The entrances is on the back side of the mall between JC Penney and Belk.

PLAYGYM
Creative Discovery Museum's innovative early childhood enrichment program is a carefully designed program that encourages the development of motor skills, cognitive skills, social skills, and self-confidence. Fun-filled, age appropriate activities using colorful gym equipment and sensory stimulation provide a wealth of "food" for the brain. Parents and children make friends, share special time together, enjoy new experiences, and have fun.

There are four age-appropriate levels of PlayGym.
4 to 14 months: Tues. 9:30 a.m. and Thurs. 10:30 a.m.
12 to 24 months: Mon. 10:30 a.m., Tue. 10:30 a.m., Thurs. 11:30 a.m., and Fri. 10:30 a.m.
24 to 36 months: Tues. 11:30 a.m., Thurs. 9:30 a.m. or Fri. 11:30 a.m.
36 to 47 months: Mon. 11:30 a.m. and Fri. 9:30 a.m..

June 2-Aug 1, 8 weeks (9-week period but will not meet June 30-July 4)

ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCY PROGRAMS

Bob Hartje, Young Numismatics Performance
Friday and Saturday, March 28 & 29 from 1-4pm each day, Museum Atrium
Director of the Young Numismatics of Chattanooga, Bob Hartje will be at the museum to show and discuss the history of metal and money while also performing historical skits relating to the formation of U.S. coins.

Chattanooga Symphony & Opera presents: String Ensemble
Saturday, April 5 @ 2pm & 3pm, Museum Auditorium
The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera (CSO) will present the third in a four-part series featuring the String and Wind Ensembles. This performance will feature the String Ensemble. This show is appropriate for families with toddlers and young children.

Ballet Tennessee Presents: Beatles Tribute Performance
Saturday, April 26 @ 1pm & 3pm, Museum Atrium
Ballet Tennessee will present a special Beatles Tribute Performance in the museum’s atrium. Both visually stunning and beautifully choreographed, this program is great for children all ages.

TaleSpin Storytelling Event / Chattanooga Downtown Partnership
Saturday, May 10 from 1pm-4pm, Museum Auditorium
For a second year, the TaleSpin Storytelling event will showcase four tellers at Creative Discovery Museum. These tellers will share stories for children and adults to enjoy.

Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Wind Ensemble
Saturday, May 17 at 2pm & 3pm, Museum Auditorium

Trick Dancing with Corey Diamond and Travis Ford
Saturday, May 31 at 1pm & 3pm, Museum Atrium
Dancers Corey Diamond and Travis Ford will perform a unique form of dance that’s part break-dance, part jumping and part martial arts. Children and adults will enjoy this lively performance.
