By
SM Youth Community Officer

For the second time in four years the Signal Mountain Police DARE program has a first place essay winner. This year Ivy Ervin, from Nolan has won first place in the essay contest sponsored by the Tennessee DARE Officers Association. Later this month she and her family will be in Gatlinburg at the DARE Officers training. She will present her winning essay on July 30 at the Park Vista Hotel. Nolan Elementary, the Signal Mountain Police Department and her DARE Officer, Sergeant Greg Hill is very proud of her.
