Braves 7-8 Softball Team

See the champion team's picture. The Braves played a hard fought tournament. Every game was close. The Cubs took the Braves to the final inning of the final game in a double elimination tournament. The Braves were led with attacking field play by Haley Chandler, Mary-Woodriff Griffin, Kelly Giarda, and Rebecca Haskins. At the plate the Braves needed some big hits by Darby Adair, Katy Giarda, Aliza Cohen, Mary-Margaret Taylor, Megan Hromi, Virginia Hixson, Liana Rodrigues, and Allison Young. All the girls learned that in a team sport everyone has an important role. The league was evenly matched between the Pirates, Cubs, Reds, and Braves. All the teams had great coaching but everyone knows that great coaches are made by great players and this league had GREAT PLAYERS! We look forward to next year and even more girls joining in the fun.
